Work from Home Internet Scams

Tips for avoiding work from home internet scams and finding reliable home business income opportunities.

Working from home on the internet is great, but there are a ton of work from home internet scams that many people unfortunately fall prey to. This is one of the reasons why only 5% of internet income seekers succeed at making any money.

Scams and schemes, especially to an inexperienced home business owner, are hard to decipher from the real opportunities. The advertisements for most internet business scams are usually filled with hype and unrealistic promises, and they can be very tempting.

When I first decided to make money online I was a little too eager, and I ended up wasting some time and money on scams. But rather than quitting and giving up completely on my home business goals, I kept trying until I found the real opportunities that I was seeking.

Now I know how to spot scams from a mile away, and I also know when a real opportunity presents itself. Knowing how to find the real home business opportunities amongst all the work from home internet scams is an essential part of succeeding as an internet entrepreneur.

Here are some things to avoid...

  • Hype filled ads

  • Unrealistic promises

  • Overpriced ebooks (most have no real value)

  • Promises of wealth without work

  • Promises of wealth in a very short time (days or weeks)

  • High price to start without any real value added

  • No track record or company background

  • No forum or way to communicate with other members

I have found that these are all red flags that usually point to a scam rather than a real opportunity. Basically, if something seems like a gimmick or novelty, if it seems way to good to be true, or if there is no solid backing behind the program, keep on looking.

Here are some things to look for...
  • A free opportunity is usually safe and reliable

  • If it costs to start, make sure that you get value for your money (website, tools, leads, training, etc.)

  • A company with a proven track record

  • An opportunity that has been around for over a year

  • A forum where members can talk and ask questions

  • A realistic income opportunity without unneeded hype

Once you know what to look for in a home business opportunity you will be able to spot them rather easily.

The opportunities that I prefer to work with have all been around for several years, they have great track records, they have many successful, high earning members, they are either free or very affordable, they include everything needed to make money including training and support, and a forum where new members can learn from more experienced ones.

Take time when investigating possible work from home business opportunities. Choosing a reliable opportunity will put you on the path that leads to home business success, while choosing work from home internet scams will leave you frustrated and disappointed.
