What is an Entrepreneur? What Does it Really Mean?

What is an entrepreneur? Learn what an entrepreneur is and what it takes to become a successful business owner to be your own boss.

Entrepreneurs have a ton of advantages in this world when it comes to financial freedom. Financial freedom is always having enough money, while still having the freedom to work when, where, and how much you want. Basically, entrepreneurs are able to make more money in considerably less time than wage earning employees. Maybe it makes sense that the word employ comes from a root that means to use!

It is no wonder why 33% or the entire million population in America are business owners, which is as much as doctors, lawyers, and business executives combined! Entrepreneurs are able to leverage their time and effort which enables them to drastically increase their earning power. And they can also automate their income for passive cash flow.

Do you agree that their are some major advantages for becoming an entrepreneur? Of course their are. So what is an entrepreneur, and how can anyone become one?

So, in essence, an entrepreneur is someone who starts, owns, and/or operates their own business. This can range anywhere from someone who decides to open up a mom & pop discount store, or an inventor who develops and markets a piece of software for millions of dollars. Entrepreneurs are NOT employees. They do not work for others. They assume the risk as well as the rewards of a business venture.

The risk factor is one of the top reasons why most people do not take the entrepreneurial path. They think that working for themselves is too risky. Most people are so attached to their weekly paycheck to take a real chance at anything else.

But as they say, no risk, no reward. The steady paycheck may add some sense of security in your life, but it will not likely let you reach your full potential. Entrepreneurs on the other hand are not afraid of risk, and they are therefore the ones who get all of the fabulous rewards of working for themselves. This includes freedom, being able to do what they love, as well as earning vastly superior incomes and larger amounts of money that typical wage earners.
