The wealth gap has numerous causes, but primarily the difference can be seen in individual attitudes.
The wealth gap can be seen as clearly now as ever before. The rich are assuredly getting richer, and yet there are many people who barely have enough to get by. But I am not here to talk to you about the gap in wealth, but rather why there is such a gap, and why it seems to never stop growing. So just what is it that makes the rich continue to get richer, and what is it that keeps others in financial lack and struggle? Well, believe it or not but the cause is the same for both.
There are a number of causes why some people continue getting richer while others do not, and you can be sure than just about every one of the individuals on the lacking side have a wide number of excuses. But all excuses aside, the real cause of an individuals level of financial success is their attitude toward money, wealth, and success. There is an attitude that attracts money, and there is an attitude that repels it.
Let me ask you a question. Who do you think spends more time complaining about money? Well, obviously the people who have the most money problems to complain about. But have you ever stopped to think that these people have so many financial problems because they are always complaining about money?
As author of The Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, T. Harv Eker, says that victims never get rich. Victims are the people who are always complaining, who are always blaming, and who are always justifying. They never make any progress financially because they give so much attention to what they do not want.
It is people with a more positive attitude toward money who attract abundance into their lives. People who focus on opportunities, not obstacles. People who look for ways to solve problems, not run away from them. It is the individuals who believe that they can get wealthy, and make an effort to attain their goal, that end up on the wealthy side of the wealth and prosperity gap.
