Most people do not know how to build wealth. How do I know that? Well, the percentage of people who build wealth is small in comparison with those who do not. And I do not know about you, but I would think that if people knew how to get rich, that they would do it. How would you go about growing wealth? Would you begin saving some of your income? Would you work overtime or get a second job? Would you strictly budget your money so you had more left over after your expenses? If so, then you need a new wealth building plan.

I am not saying that budgeting and saving aren't important, but I will tell you that if you rely on saving money alone in order to build wealth, which a surprising number of people do, you may wait a lifetime and never really enjoy the benefits of having an abundance of money. In fact, spending your life saving money is a waste because it is full of limitation and sacrifice. Money should bring more freedom into your life, not take away from it. You can build wealth without sacrificing your freedom, and you can do it without waiting a lifetime.

The real key to building wealth is developing multiple streams of income. But not just any income will do. You could develop multiple streams of income by getting a number of jobs, but that is not freedom either. To be free you need money as well as time, and therefore you want to focus your attention on building multiple streams of passive income. Passive income is money without work, and when you create multiple streams of ongoing passive income, building wealth will be a joy.

There are many ways to develop passive income. You can invest in stocks, bonds, and money markets. Or you can purchase rental properties, storage units, and vending machines. You can open a laundry mat or a car wash. And if you do not have a lot of money to start out with, you can build passive income for free or very inexpensively. You can create a website business, join a network marketing program, or build an affiliate marketing internet business.
