Maximizing AdSense Rates

Choosing the right niche is critical for maximizing AdSense rates. Learn how to earn more money with Google.



I have dabbled in a number of different niches when developing my passive Google AdSense income. What I have found is that NOT ALL NICHES OFFER THE SAME EARNING POTENTIAL. For example, I had multiple niche websites running, each of which focused on a different market. And while each of the sites were generating the same amount of traffic, as well as the same amount of AdSense ad clicks, the earnings from a couple of them were drastically higher.

As you know, AdSense revenues are based on the number of clicks that your ads are able to generate. Each time an ad is clicked on your website or blog, you earn money. But depending on the AdSense rates for the ads that your website is hosting, the revenues per click could be only a couple of cents, a couple of dollars, or even close to a hundred dollars for the most in demand keywords.

Google automatically places relevant ads on your site, depending on your content and meta tags. Their goal is to place the most relevant ads on each site, therefore increasing the probability that the ads will be clicked on. So choosing your niche, or the target audience that you plan an aiming at, will have a great impact on the overall profitability of your AdSense site or blog.

But do not think that you need to strive to overtake the most profitable keywords. The bottom line is that there is already so much competition surrounding these niches that it will be nearly impossible for you to break through. It can be more worth your time to aim at smaller, less competitive niches. The rates for each click may not be as high, but if you can win the niche over at the search engines, your traffic could be very substantial, and more than enough to provide you with a terrific internet income.
