Online marketing is one of the best ways to expand your business and increase public awareness of who you are and what you have to offer. One major problem that many small businesses face when beginning their online marketing campaigns is the limited amount of funds that they have to utilize to promote their business. The good news is that there are many ways that you can advertise your business online for free, and these ways can be almost as effective, or even more effective than, regular paid online advertising. When planning your online marketing campaign on a shoestring budget, here are a few sites that you can use to help you market your small offline business for free:

* Craigslist is one of the best places for anyone who lives in the U.S. to get targeted advertisement to people in their city. Craigslist is an online classified advertisement site, and you can post advertisements on Craigslist for free. These advertisements requite a catchy title and interesting content, but you can easily get a good deal more traffic through posting advertisements for your offline business on this online classified ads website.

* eBay is a great place to sell your products, and you can use it to help promote your website. If you have some products that you can sell at a lower price, use eBay to auction them off and get people interested in what you have to sell. In the "Product Description" section of each product provide a description of your product and a link back to your web page. The number of purchases that you can make using eBay can bring a bit of extra income, and you can generate a lot of traffic for your website using eBay.

* Facebook is the largest social network site, and you can use it to generate traffic to your website. Simply create a personal account and a business account, and start expanding your network of friends and contacts. As you expand your friends in your personal account, you can start directing them towards your business account. Your business account needs to have links that lead back to your web page, and you can post many links to your web page in your personal account as well.

* YouTube is the largest social media site in the world, and millions of users browse the videos posted online every day. You can harness YouTube to work for you by creating videos and posting them on YouTube. Place a link to your website at the end of each video, and make sure to place plenty of links in your comments and profile section of your YouTube user account.

* Use online forums to promote your business. Make sure that your signature has a link to your website in it, and every time that you make a post on these forums, another link to your website will be posted online. Soon people will start visiting your links as you continue to post on these forums, and you will increase traffic to your site.

These free tools can actually benefit you far more than using paid marketing tools, and you may find that the free marketing tools may be the best for you to use in promoting your small offline business.
