Types of Online Advertising

Advertising (Reklamebureau) aids in increasing your sales and revenue, a sense to spread brand awareness, offering seasonal or promotional offers. In case of advertising, online media is the one that leads today's advertising market. Online advertising media is more inclined towards getting quick results that can be measured through click through rates and the leads generated accordingly. The search engines help us identify the more trending keyword that should be targeted in the online market while placing ads. The Google adwords works upon the Pay Per Click concept. The ads run on Cost per Click, where the ads are charged upon only if and internet user clicks on the ad or as per the thousand impressions (Cost per impressions), where the ads are charged upon every thousand impressions.

Text Ads:

Text ads have been the most basic ads. Text ads are just hyperlinks to the landing page to get conversions. The text ad consists of some catchy works framed in order to attract the online user and click on the call-to-action words. Text ads are reported to have comparatively better click through rates than the banner ads.

Banner Ads:

Banner ads are the most popular of all the display ads. The banner ads are specified under varied conditions of sizes and ideas. The banner ads may be static images with hyperlinks or may be of flash or video format. Most of the big brands prefer attracting their customers with flash ads merged under certain banner limits. Google adwords entertain specific image ads only. They can be a still ad or an animated image and they'll click through to the site of the company advertising (reklamebureau). Banners are sold in pretty much every way going, including CPM (cost per 1,000 views), PPC (pay per click) or weekly/monthly/yearly charges.

Pop-up Ads:

Pop-up ads have been the most annoying type of ads. Pop-up ads are quite irritating as they keep popping up on the window and disturb your flow of work. It's the thing of the past now. With a variety of pop-up blockers available freely, it makes no sense in investing in this form of advertising (reklamebureau) as it irritates the viewer and even most advertisers avoid using it.

Floating Ads:

Floating ads are certain ads that hover across your screen, when you access certain web pages. They generally last for not more than 30 seconds on a web page. They're usually quite targeted and have a good CTR although they're often banded in the same class as pop-ups for their annoyingness.

Contextual Ads:

Contextual ads target the specific audience at the right time. Contextual ads are seen on the pages that have relative text. The user can view the ads only if the keywords and the actual text of the page match to the user's interest. The above mentioned ads are the most used type of ads which are reported to have better return on the investments. With just the right marketing concept and idea to visualize the market need is what a brand should have while advertising itself either online or offline.
