Anyone can become a millionaire. There is not a secret formula, it is a state of mind. There are several traits common to all self made millionaires. Over the next several weeks I will explain the characteristics of a millionaire mind. If you pay close attention you too can become a millionaire. There is great wealth waiting for those that want it. Are yo ready to be a millionaire?

This article is part two of The millionaire Mind. Each weekly chapter describes a characteristic common in all self made millionaires. In this article we discuss optimism.
Optimism is a characteristic common of most self made millionaires. No matter what the situation is, the glass is always between half full and over flowing. They always seem to be able to turn a negative into a positive. All problems are opportunities and bad decisions are stepping stones to greener pastures.

We all know these people. They cannot be shaken up, they always remain focused and decisive. They are always moving forward. In situations that would cause many people to drown in failure, they are already far beyond the situation. They are not overly critical of themselves or of decisions they have made, they do not look back, they just keep moving forward. The optimism of a millionaire is annoying to some, however this is because people are envious, because they know that if this person is not yet successful, he very soon will be.

The optimism of a millionaire seems to be infectious. Whether in a social or business environment, their upbeat tempo and confidence spreads and fills a room. Friends and peers feel better about themselves, or about a business decision or transaction, just because of the association with this person. Employers try to hire people with this characteristic because it can boost productivity, and improve the attitude of others around them. It can also help promote the career of a savvy boss, to hire an employee that can have such a positive affect on a business. Most people with millionaire qualities however, do not remain employed for long. They move on after learning from their experience, and eventually start a business or take over a business.

Many future self made millionaires appear irresponsible at times, as they tend to move from job to job and do not seem satisfied or focused. The truth is that they are not satisfied yet, and they are focused on achieving wealth, and are not content with their current employment. They are just passing through on their way to something much greater.

If you posses optimism of a millionaire, and the desire to be a millionaire, you may soon become a millionaire. A future millionaire knows that he will be wealthy long before it happens.
