Your First 30 Days As a MLM Or Work at Home Entrepreneur

Many people begin their online MLM or work at home business with large dreams and unrealistic expectations. In my work with entrepreneurs (both MLM, work at home and offline) I've found that it not only takes desire but it also takes a solid MLM or work at home business plan.

Here's the typical first 30 days in the life of a new internet entrepreneur:

Day 1: They are excited. Finally, FINALLY they are going to "do it" with the latest MLM or work at home business and prove everyone wrong. Every time they log onto the internet they see a world of endless possibilities - why can't it be them too? Oh yeah, the typical MLM or work at home entrepreneur doesn't have any money, doesn't want to interrupt their "personal" time and expects to be financially free in 30 days or less. They want to win the MLM or work at home "lottery". Does that last sentence describe you? If so, do yourself a favor and quit now. Yep, you read that right - quit before you waste any more time.

Day 10: WHAT!?!?! No one has purchased my work at home product or joined my MLM team. HOW DARE THEY! Don't they know that this is the best MLM and work at home product since sliced bread? Don't they know that they are supposed to see my offer and instantly pull out their credit card? I can't believe they don't like my work at home business!

Day 20: I wake up and think "nothing is working in my MLM so maybe I'll finally spend some money on work at home leads". So, $100 later I have my MLM leads and offer them my work at home product. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!? They DIDN'T buy anything! I can't believe I just spent $100 on useless MLM and work at home leads!

Day 30: I knew this wouldn't work for me. MLM is a scam. Working from home is ridiculous. I quit!There you have it, the first 30 days in the typical life of a work at home or MLM entrepreneur. Sound familiar?

So, how do you change this "typical" MLM path and make sure you survive the trials of any upstart work at home business?

First of all you need to make sure you have a desire to be in your MLM business for yourself. Notice I didn't say a desire to make money with your work at home business. You have to LOVE the MLM business or you won't make it through the ups and downs of working for yourself.

Second, you need a solid MLM plan to follow. I'm talking about a proven plan from a proven work at home leader. Third, you need a budget. I don't care if it's $50 per month to start. The point is, if YOU don't believe enough in your MLM or work at home business to throw money at it then how can you expect someone else to believe in your MLM or work at home business? If you are not ready to spend money on your MLM business then don't plan on being successful by working at home.

Fourth and finally, you need to make a decision to NOT give up! No matter how tough it gets, you have to follow the proven plan and NEVER QUIT! Many people who give up will immediately say "I knew it wouldn't work" or "I'm not as lucky as (fill in the blank)". That, in a nutshell is bull. You get what you get because you do what you do - period and end of story.

You are sitting where you are sitting because of the choices in your life. Maybe you had some bad luck over the years. So, what have you decided to do about it? Maybe people have disappointed you. So, what are you going to do right now that will get you closer to your goals? The only thing you can control is yourself, so make a decision now to NOT let anyone or anything stop you from getting where you want to be.
